The story

Neftalí and Lucila are the reinterpretation of the ojota. A tribute to the footwear of the Chilean farmer that has been worn for decades to work the land.

This handmade footwear was crafted from leftover rubber, improvising with what they had. With just two front straps, a used heel strap, and a flexible yet extremely durable base, they created footwear that met the requirements and needs demanded by the land. It served both for hot, dry days and for mud and humidity.

Out of this sturdy farmer’s footwear, we created a modern, confortable shoe, using Italian buffalo leather known for its durability and quality. For the sole of the shoe, just like the ojota, we use rubber – recycled tire strips that provide flexibility, grip, and durability.
